Acrylics
- the 20th Century wonder.
Acrylics & oils, as far as the
traditional painting styles are concerned, are the ones I devote
the least ammount of time to. It is not because of lack of
interest on my part - the reason is that I start all my students
with learning stroke work - and only with rare exceptions do I
deviate from the curriculum.
Traditional acrylics has many techniques and
styles, too many to mention here. However, by far my favorite
styles are realistic and impressionistic; therefore, those are the
ones I tend to teach.
It is my opinion that those who can paint in
acrylics, with a good foundation behind them, can paint in any
medium.
